When Lawrence Anthony aka “the Elephant Whisperer”, passed away in 2012, a herd of elephants arrived at his house in South Africa to mourn him. They stayed for two days and then quietly dispersed. Nobody alerted the elephants of his death.

He left a promising career in real estate and insurance to save the endangered species. He looked after the Baghdad Zoo after Iraq’s American Invasion in 2003.
Anthony founded a conservation group called The Earth Organization.
Not just elephants, he fought for crocodiles, rhinoceros and several other species too.
